Record My Memories

The most interesting stories are your own!  The "Record My Memories" service is a personal video recording of you, filmed by me in your own home. You will get my professional video expertise, along with all the equipment, brought to your very own front room. I'm also very happy to come into a residential home and consult with the care home manager to make arrangements. I will arrive at approximately 10am, set-up the equipment and explain the process. Together, we will film you, speaking at your own pace, for a full day. You share your memories, stories, anything you want to say. You take the time you need - to gather your thoughts and take breaks whenever you want. Once the day is over, you can relax and leave the editing and post production to us. This usually takes around one week for us to provide you with a professionally edited final product. The finished video will be made available for you to share with whoever you wish - unlimited as many times as you want - forever!

You can choose to have a family member sat in the room to help with the process. You choose the setting, what you wear, you can even have your dog on your knee!

Before all this happens, I will contact you well in advance of the pre-arranged day. I will send you a helpful guide - so you can plan out your musings with friends or family members. I would then suggest you have one of these to sit in with us during the recording - to act as prompt, provide moral support and make the recording feel as relaxed and personal as possible. (Also handy for making cups of tea - talking is thirsty work!).

This can be done over one day for a single person, or over two days at a reduced rate for a couple.
